Arkon Heavy-Duty Drill-Base Camera Mount with 22" Adjustable Arm

The Arkon CMPHD003 is a heavy-duty aluminium drill-base mount with a 22 inch adjustable arm, made for fixing a camera to a wall or almost any other surface — including vehicle floors. It suits small digital cameras using the standard 1/4"-20 camera thread, covering models from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Contour, JVC, Fujifilm, Samsung, Olympus and Panasonic. Supplied in the package is Arkon’s heavy-duty aluminium mount with 22 inch arm plus a 4-hole AMPS drill base. That base attaches to walls and other surfaces using the 4-hole AMPS pattern, and the screws you need are included. (Once an industry standard, the 4-hole AMPS layout places four holes in a rectangle spaced 1.188 inches by 1.813 inches.) At the business end, a 1/4"-20 mounting bolt secures compatible gear such as close-circuit television (CCTV) or security cameras, in-vehicle camera systems, POV cameras, point-and-shoot cameras, camcorders, or anything else carrying a 1/4"-20 threaded pattern. Because the four-hole drill base is strong aluminium, it’s well suited to places where a longer-term, permanent fixing makes sense, such as a workshop or a retail space. It can also be screwed straight into the floor of a car or truck. (Warning: Drilling into the vehicle’s floor may damage the vehicle. Use caution and consult a mobile install professional to avoid drilling into any sensitive vehicle components.) To dial in the view, bend the 22 inch adjustable arm to shape and turn the swivel ball adapter head through 360 degrees for precise camera positioning.
