The HD003-AMPS mounting pedestal works as a replacement, an upgrade, or an additional pedestal alongside an existing 4-Hole AMPS setup. It pairs with Arkon's Slim-Grip Universal Tablet Holder (TAB001-AMPS), and with Dual-T to AMPS adapters (sold separately) it will also accept Arkon's Dual-T phone and tablet holders. Beyond that, it takes any device carrying the 4-Hole AMPS pattern, such as vehicle-specific mounts (VSMs), cameras, GPS units, audio/video receivers and satellite radios including the Sirius S50, Sirius XM Onyx Plus, XM Onyx EZ, Sirius XM Lynx, Stratus 7, Dock & Play and Sirius Dock & Play (all sold separately). It is equally at home holding mobile radio cradles, housings and other gear used across public safety, construction and utility work. Once an industry standard, the 4-Hole AMPS pattern is a rectangular arrangement of four holes measuring 30.17mm by 38.05mm from the centre of one hole to the centre of the next. Built from tough aluminium, the four-hole drill base is the right choice when you want something fixed for good, such as in a workshop or a retail space. Screws are supplied. The base can also be bolted straight through the floor of a car, ute or truck. (Warning: drilling into a vehicle floor can cause damage. Take care and speak with a professional mobile installer so you avoid drilling into sensitive vehicle components.)
