There are two ways to run the package: 1) thread a digital camera straight onto the flexible tripod's 1/4"-20 mounting bolt, or 2) screw the base of the Mobile Grip 2 Holder onto the tripod to use a smartphone instead (pop out the rubber insert on the side of the holder to expose the industry-standard 1/4"-20 threaded camera mounting pattern). Shoot photos or go live anywhere you like. Wrap the tripod's bendable legs around fences, poles and trees, or simply hold the tripod aloft for a clearer view of the action at concerts, parades and other public events. The Mobile Grip 2 holder opens out to take any smartphone up to 3.6" wide, including handsets wearing skins and rugged cases. At just 1.4" high, it's a good pick if you prefer a low-profile grip. A spring-loaded mechanism means the phone goes in and comes out one-handed while still being held firmly, and the pared-back design leaves rear cameras completely unobstructed for photos and video.
