The RM0792517 sticky suction pedestal belongs to Arkon's Robust Mount Series and works on a windscreen or a dash. Designed as a replacement or an upgrade for an existing mount, it pairs with 17mm pattern phone and tablet holders (sold separately), such as Arkon's RoadVise Universal Phone Holder (RV001WR) and the RoadVise XL Universal Midsize Tablet and Phone Holder (RVXLWR). What you receive here is the Heavy-Duty 80mm Sticky Suction Mount with a 17mm ball head, plus an optional adhesive dash disk. (Holders sold separately.) The suction base suits car windscreens, dashboards and other flat or lightly textured surfaces. Measuring roughly 6.5 inches without a holder, this tough, low vibration pedestal is built from a mix of plastic and glass fibre. Because the arm swivels at both the top and the bottom, you get full 360-degree rotation and enormous freedom in how you angle the phone or tablet. The 80mm sticky suction base combines a polyurethane gel with vacuum suction for maximum surface bond in any climate. Grip fading over time? Simply wash the pad in warm water with a mild liquid soap and let it air dry to bring the suction back. On soft vinyl, leather or similar dash materials, Arkon recommends fitting the supplied 3M adhesive dash mounting disk so no permanent indentation marks are left behind.
