The SM6RMTRI heavy-duty midsize tablet tripod mount comes from Arkon's Robust Mount Series and screws directly onto 1/4"-20 tripod bolts. It takes 7-8" midsize tablets such as the iPad mini, Galaxy Tab S 8.4, Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and 8.0, Galaxy Note 8.0 and Nexus 7, and it also handles smartphones with screens up to 8", including iPhone X, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, and iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Use it for rock-steady streaming either by gripping the pedestal in your hand or fixing it to a tripod bolt. In the box you'll find a Robust Series Mounting Pedestal, a tripod bolt adapter and a Slim-Grip Ultra Midsize Tablet Holder. The Slim-Grip Ultra holder uses a spring-loaded action, so pressing down on the lower legs with one hand lets you drop the tablet in or lift it out. Eight support legs are supplied with the holder - four short and four longer - and they work alongside the spring mechanism to suit a range of midsize tablet dimensions. The legs slot into the top and bottom of the holder and can be repositioned so side buttons and ports stay clear. Most midsize tablets sit best with 2 short legs fitted up top and the 2 longer legs at the bottom; on smaller tablets, run all 4 short legs instead. Switching to portrait is a matter of turning the 360° swivel. Standing just under 4 inches high, the sturdy low-vibration pedestal is made from plastic and glass fibre, and because it pivots at both the top and the base you can set the tablet at virtually any angle.
