The SP-SB-AMPS-KIT adapter takes any mount or pedestal built around a 17mm ball pattern and converts it into a 4-Hole AMPS mounting point, so it will pair with devices and holders (sold separately) that use the 4-Hole AMPS layout. That includes vehicle-specific mounts (VSMs), cameras, GPS devices, audio/video receivers and satellite radios such as the Sirius S50, Sirius XM Onyx Plus, XM Onyx EZ, Sirius XM Lynx, Stratus 7, Dock & Play and Sirius Dock & Play (all sold separately). What you receive here is the 17mm Ball to 4-Hole AMPS Adapter with Tightening Ring only — no holders or mounts are supplied. Once an industry standard, the 4-Hole AMPS pattern is a rectangular arrangement of four holes spaced 30.17mm by 38.05mm, measured centre to centre.
