The SP25MM17 is a handy step-down adapter that takes any 25mm (1 inch) ball fitting — including Arkon Robust Mount models and RAM Mounts (sold separately) — and converts it to a 17mm ball pattern. It's the specific piece required if you want to run a Robust Mount Series pedestal with the Mobile Grip 2 holder, MG002WR. What you receive here is the 25mm Ball to 17mm Ball Adapter on its own. (Mounts, holders and devices are sold separately.) Simply fasten it to any mount that accepts the 25mm (1 inch) ball pattern. The SP25MM17 works with the current Arkon Robust Mount range, such as the RM080AMPS (Heavy-Duty 80mm Suction Mounting Pedestal with 4-Hole AMPS Head), the RM2XAMPS (Heavy-Duty 4-Hole AMPS to 4-Hole AMPS Mounting Pedestal) and the RM0802T (Heavy-Duty 80mm Suction Pedestal), opening them up to Garmin GPS units and other devices using a 17mm mounting pattern.
