The sticky suction pedestal combines polyurethane gel with suction pressure to create an exceptionally strong surface bond. If your dashboard is soft vinyl, leather or something similar, fit the supplied 3M adhesive mounting disk first to avoid leaving permanent indentation marks. Despite the tough hold, the sticky suction base lifts off cleanly and can be reused again and again — should suction fade, simply wash the pad in warm water with a mild liquid soap, air dry it, and the grip returns. The Slim-Grip holder itself takes tablets between 7 and 18.4 inches, and its spring-loaded action means you can push down on the lower legs one-handed to drop the tablet in or lift it out. Ten support legs are supplied (4 short, 2 medium and 4 long), so you pick the four that suit your device best. They slot into the top and bottom of the holder and shift along easily to keep side buttons and charging ports clear. Most large tablets sit best with 2 short legs up top and the 2 long legs underneath; smaller tablets suit all 4 short legs, while bigger slates such as the iPad Pro do best with all 4 long legs.
