Arkon RoadVise® XL Phone and Midsize Tablet Drill Base Mount

The XLRMAMPSMET from Arkon combines a premium 4-hole AMPS drill base with the RoadVise XL large phone and midsize tablet holder, which accommodates devices up to 5" wide — including those wearing skins or ruggedised cases. Supported phones include the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS and iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Note 20, Note 10 and Note 9, Galaxy S20+, S20, S10 and S9, LG G7, G6 and G5, Nexus 6 and Nexus 5. Tablets with 7-8 inch screens measuring up to 5 inches wide also fit, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and 8.0, Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and 8.0, Galaxy Tab A 8.0, Galaxy Tab E 8.0, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Nexus 7. It is not recommended for caseless phones or other devices measuring 2.64 inches wide or less, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 among them. Solid construction and a spring-loaded mechanism let the cradle expand and clamp down dependably on large handsets and midsize tablets, and Arkon suggests running the RoadVise XL Holder with smartphones in skins and ruggedised cases. Its low-profile design leaves rear cameras unobstructed for spur-of-the-moment photos and video. The 4-hole AMPS drill pattern is a rectangular arrangement of four holes spaced 30.17mm x 38.05mm apart (measured centre-to-centre). Built from a mix of plastic and nylon, this sturdy, low-vibration pedestal stands roughly 4.5 inches from the base of the mount to the top of the pedestal, excluding the holder. Double ball adjustment on the pedestal allows full 360-degree rotation, so you can dial in virtually any viewing angle. The base can be screwed straight into your vehicle's console if you prefer. (Warning: Drilling into the vehicle may cause damage. Use caution and consult a mobile install professional to avoid drilling into any sensitive vehicle components.) Slip the holder off and the exposed 17mm ball base is ready for Garmin GPS units.
