The RMAMPS2517 mounting pedestal is part of Arkon’s Robust Mount Series. It can replace or upgrade an existing 17mm ball pedestal and mounts to car dashboards and consoles, as well as to walls or other solid flat surfaces with screws (not included) using the 4-Hole AMPS drill base mounting pattern. The pedestal is compatible with 17mm ball holders and adapters, including Arkon’s Mobile Grip 2 Universal Phone Holder as well as other third-party 17mm ball holders. The mount is also compatible with Garmin GPS utilizing the 17mm ball mount pattern. This mount includes only the heavy-duty 4-hole AMPS mounting pedestal with 17mm ball head. Holders and adapters sold separately. The AMPS pattern consists of four holes located in a rectangular pattern spaced at 30.17mm x 38.05mm (measured as the center-to-center distance between holes). This tough, low-vibration pedestal measures 5.75 inches from end to end, and is made from a combination of nylon and plastic. The arm of the pedestal swivels on both the top and the bottom, providing 360-degree rotation and the ultimate flexibility in positioning the device at any angle. The mount can also be screwed directly into the dash or console of your vehicle or work truck.
