The APMAMPS38MM is a metal adapter that changes a 38mm (1.5 inch) mount over to a 4-Hole AMPS drill-base pattern. (Mounts, holders and devices are sold separately.) Installation is straightforward: unscrew the mount shaft to take off either the head or the base, whichever suits your build, slot the adapter into place, then re-tighten the shaft. Because it's built from metal, the adapter holds a solid connection when drilled into a dashboard or any other firm, flat surface — a practical choice for commercial rigs and fleet vehicles.
