Fitted with extra-strength 3M VHB adhesive, the APVHB13 80mm disk lets you anchor an Arkon or third-party 70mm windscreen suction pedestal for smartphones and Garmin GPS units directly onto the dashboard of your car. Arkon pedestals that suit this disc include the GN079WD-SBH, GN068WD-SBH, GN022-SBH, GN014-SBH, GN015-SBH and GN042-SBH. (The disc is deliberately a little wider than the mount so the suction cup seats securely.) Only the extra-strength adhesive disk is supplied here — mounting pedestals are sold separately. Installation is straightforward: clean the chosen dashboard area, peel the paper backing away from the rear of the plastic 3M VHB disc, then position it and press down firmly. (For best results, leave the adhesive to cure for 24 hours before locking the base of the pedestal onto the centre of the disk.) WARNING: think carefully about placement before sticking the APVHB13 to a dashboard or any other flat surface. The 3M VHB adhesive used here is intended as a PERMANENT bond, so the disk may adhere permanently to whatever surface you choose. Removing the adhesive may call for professional strength solvents or tools.
