The APVHB20 is a 90mm mounting disk fitted with extra-strength 3M VHB adhesive, letting you anchor an Arkon or third-party 80mm windscreen suction pedestal directly to the dash instead of the glass. Suitable Arkon pedestal models are the CM017-KST-2SH, CM078WD-SBH, RM080AMPS, RM0792TWD and RM0802T. (The disc is deliberately a little wider than the mount itself so the cup has plenty of surface to grip.) Only the extra-strength adhesive disk is supplied here — mounting pedestals are sold separately. Fitting is straightforward: clean the dash surface first, peel the paper backing from the rear of the plastic 3M VHB disc, then position it and press down firmly. (For the strongest bond, leave the adhesive to cure for 24 hours before locking the pedestal base onto the centre of the disk.) WARNING: think carefully about placement before sticking the APVHB20 to your dashboard or any other flat surface. The 3M VHB adhesive is engineered as a PERMANENT bond, so the disk may remain fixed to that surface for good. Removal may call for professional-strength solvents or tools. Arkon accepts no responsibility for damage to your vehicle or any other surface resulting from installation of this mounting disk.
