Use the GN079WD-SBH sticky suction mounting pedestal to replace or upgrade a pedestal you already own. It pairs with Arkon's universal smartphone and tablet holders, sold separately, such as the Slim-Grip Ultra Universal Smartphone and Midsize Tablet Holder (SM060-2), the Mega Grip Universal Smartphone Holder (SM040-2) and the Mini Grip Smartphone Holder (SM015-2SLM). It also suits older 2005-2009 Magellan RoadMate, Triton and Maestro GPS units built around the Dual T-Slot mounting pattern. What you get here is the Sticky Suction Mounting Pedestal with a Dual-T Head and 3-inch Articulating Arm, plus an optional 3M adhesive dashboard mounting disc. (Holders are sold separately.) The pedestal is at home on car dashboards, windscreens and other flat or lightly textured surfaces, where the base draws on both polyurethane gel and suction for maximum surface bond. The 3-inch articulating arm tilts vertically and spins a full 360 degrees, so you can dial in the viewing angle that works for you. Fitting is quick: wipe the mounting area with the supplied alcohol pad for the best possible grip, position the pedestal, then press the one-touch lever to engage the suction. On soft vinyl, leather or similar dashboard finishes, Arkon suggests using the included 3M adhesive mounting disc to avoid leaving permanent indentation marks. Despite its holding power, the sticky suction mount lifts off cleanly and can be used again. Should the suction weaken over time, rinse the pad in warm water with a mild liquid soap, let it air dry, and the grip comes back.
