Arkon's GN088-SBH seat rail or floor mounting pedestal for cars and trucks can serve as a replacement, an upgrade, or an additional pedestal to sit alongside a mount you already have fitted. It pairs with Arkon's Dual-T universal smartphone and tablet holders (sold separately), such as the Slim-Grip Ultra Universal Smartphone and Midsize Tablet Holder (SM060-2), Slim-Grip Universal Smartphone Holder (SM050-2), Slim-Grip Universal Tablet Holder (TAB001), Universal Tablet Push Button Holder (TAB003), Mega Grip Universal Smartphone Holder (SM040-2), and Mini Grip Smartphone Holder (SM015-2SLM). Note that this is not a complete mounting solution — the package contains only the metal seat rail or floor mounting pedestal with the 18-inch flexible gooseneck. (Holders sold separately.) Built from metal, the seat rail or floor mount suits service vehicles, trucks, and anyone who wants their device close at hand but mounted somewhere other than the windscreen or dashboard. Fitting to the seat rail is done with a socket wrench: back off the passenger seat track bolt, slide the supplied seat track bolt bracket into place, then do the bolt back up. From there, bend the 18” gooseneck and turn the swivel ball adapter head through its full 360 degrees to line the device up exactly where you want it. Optional floor brackets are supplied as well, so the pedestal can be screwed straight into the vehicle floor. (Warning: Drilling into the vehicle's floor may damage the vehicle. Take care and speak with a mobile install professional so you avoid drilling into any sensitive vehicle components.) A metal conduit is also in the box, letting you brace the gooseneck against the console or another solid surface to cut down on vibration (screws not included).
