The HD001AMPS pedestal can serve as a replacement, an upgrade, or an additional mounting point beside an existing pedestal that uses the 4-Hole AMPS drill-base pattern. It suits Arkon's Slim-Grip Universal Tablet Holder (TAB001-AMPS), and with Dual-T to AMPS adapters (sold separately) it also accepts Arkon's Dual-T phone and tablet holders. Beyond holders, it accommodates any device carrying a 4-Hole AMPS pattern, such as vehicle-specific mounts (VSMs), cameras, GPS units, audio/video receivers and satellite radios including the Sirius S50, Sirius XM Onyx Plus, XM Onyx EZ, Sirius XM Lynx, Stratus 7, Dock & Play and Sirius Dock & Play (sold separately). Built from strong aluminium, this seat rail mount is made for drivers who want an iPad, iPhone or other device within easy reach but would rather keep the windscreen and dash clear. As well as cars and utes, it is a sensible fit for fleets and service vehicles. Several brackets are supplied to suit different seat rail configurations. Installation calls for a socket wrench: back off the passenger seat track bolt, slip the supplied seat track bolt bracket into place, then do the bolt back up. From there, bend the 22" adjustable arm and turn the swivel ball adapter head through its full 360 degrees until the device sits exactly where you want it.
