Use the HD006AMPS mounting pedestal as a straight replacement, an upgrade, or an additional mounting point next to an existing pedestal using the 4-Hole AMPS pattern. It pairs with Arkon’s Slim-Grip Universal Tablet Holder (TAB001-AMPS), and with Dual-T to AMPS adapters (sold separately) it also accepts Arkon’s Dual-T phone and tablet holders. Anything else carrying a 4-Hole AMPS pattern will bolt straight on too, including vehicle-specific mounts (VSMs), cameras, GPS units, audio/video receivers and satellite radios such as the Sirius S50, Sirius XM Onyx Plus, XM Onyx EZ, Sirius XM Lynx, Stratus 7, Dock & Play and Sirius Dock & Play (sold separately). That makes it a solid choice for mobile radio holders, housings and similar equipment across public safety, construction and utility work. Supplied here is Arkon’s Heavy-Duty Aluminium 4-Hole Drill Base Mounting Pedestal with 9” Multi-Angle Arm and 4-Hole AMPS Head only — holders are sold separately. The sturdy 8” mount carries three adjustment knobs spaced at 2.5” intervals along the arm so positioning is quick, while two further 180° pivot points at the top and bottom open up even more angles. Once an industry standard, the 4-Hole AMPS pattern is a rectangular arrangement of four holes measuring 30.17mm by 38.05mm centre-to-centre. Built from strong aluminium, the 4-hole drill base is the one to choose when you want a fixed, long-term setup — think workshop benches or retail counters. Screws are included. You can also fasten it straight into the floor of a car or truck. (Warning: drilling into a vehicle’s floor may cause damage.
