The RMAMPS2T-MET mounting pedestal belongs to Arkon's Robust Mount Series and is designed to upgrade or take the place of an existing pedestal, fastening to walls or other solid flat surfaces with screws (not included) through its metal 4-Hole AMPS drill base. It accepts Arkon's Dual-T pattern universal smartphone and tablet holders (sold separately), such as the Slim-Grip Ultra Universal Smartphone and Midsize Tablet Holder (SM060-2), the Slim-Grip Universal Tablet Holder (TAB001) and the Mega Grip Universal Smartphone Holder (SM040-2), plus third-party holders that use the same Dual-T pattern. Supplied here is the heavy-duty 4-Hole AMPS mounting pedestal on its own, complete with metal base and Dual-T head — holders and adapters are sold separately. The AMPS drill pattern is made up of four holes arranged in a rectangle measuring 30.17mm x 38.05mm, measured centre to centre. Built from a mix of plastic and nylon, this tough, low-vibration pedestal spans 5 inches end to end. Because the arm pivots at both the top and the bottom, you get full 360-degree rotation and can set your phone or tablet at practically any angle. The metal AMPS base adds extra rigidity for commercial vehicle duty and can be screwed straight into the dash, console or floor of your vehicle.
