The SM488L22 is a 22" seat rail or floor mount for cars and trucks that handles any smartphone, including iPhone X, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Note 5 and Note 4, Galaxy S8, S7 and S6, LG G6, G5 and G4, Nexus 6, HTC One M9, One M8 and One Max, Nokia Lumia 1520 and 1020, Motorola Moto G and Moto X. Because the Mega Grip holder is universal, it takes any phone measuring up to 3.25" across with no height restriction at all, so a bulky protective case or skin is no problem. In the box you get Arkon's one-touch, push-button Mega Grip holder together with the 22" flexible aluminium gooseneck floor mount. The holder's side-grip design delivers a firm hold that stays simple to operate: drop the phone in, close the arms to lock it, then press the side button when you want it back. The gooseneck itself is strong yet bendable aluminium, making it ideal if you want your phone within easy reach but mounted well away from the windscreen or dash. Fitting is done with a socket wrench — loosen the passenger seat track bolt, slide in the seat track bolt bracket, then do the bolt back up. From there, bend the 22" gooseneck and turn the swivel ball adapter head through a full 360° to view the screen from whatever angle suits. Optional floor brackets are also supplied if you would rather screw the car dock straight into the vehicle floor. (Warning: Drilling into the vehicle's floor may damage the vehicle. Take care and speak with a mobile install professional so you avoid drilling into any sensitive vehicle components.) If you need something shorter, Arkon suggests Model SM488 with its 18" flexible aluminium gooseneck.
