Arkon's CMP179 Sticky Suction Windshield or Dash Mount holds a compact digital camera on your car's windscreen or dash. Any small digital camera using the standard 1/4"-20 camera thread will fit, including the Canon PowerShot, Sony Action Cam, Sony POV HD Flash Memory Camcorder, Contour+2, ContourROAM2, and JVC ADIXXION 2, Fujifilm X-T1, Samsung NX1100 Smart, Olympus OM-D E-M1, Panasonic LUMIX, and Nikon COOLPIX. In the box you get Arkon's Sticky Suction Mounting Pedestal with 3" Articulating Arm, a camera-compatible adapter head, and an optional 3M adhesive dash mounting disk. It suits windscreens, dashboards and just about any other flat or slightly textured surface, desks and table tops included. Because the arm adjusts vertically and rotates a full 360°, you can line the camera up at practically any angle. The sticky suction base pairs a polyurethane gel pad with suction power for a maximum surface bond. On soft vinyl, leather or similar dash materials, Arkon recommends fitting the supplied 3M adhesive mounting disk so no permanent indentation marks are left behind. Tough as it is, the sticky suction mount still comes off easily and can be reused again and again. Should grip start to fade, simply wash the suction pad in warm water with a mild liquid soap, let it air dry, and the suction comes back.
