The MAG179 Magnetic Phone Mount is a quality magnetic in-car holder for your handset. It works beautifully on car dashboards, windscreens and other flat or slightly textured surfaces, and suits every Apple iPhone model, including iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Note 8 and Note 5, Galaxy S9, S8 and S7, Nexus 6, Motorola Moto G and Moto X, LG G6, G5 and G4, plus other smartphones or GPS units weighing up to 6.3 ounces with the case fitted. In the box you'll find Arkon's low-profile universal rare earth magnet mount with metal device plates, a sticky suction pedestal fitted with a 3-inch articulating arm, and an optional 3M adhesive dash mounting disk. Stick one of the metal plates to the back of your phone or case, and the magnetic head grabs it firmly, keeping your phone, GPS or other device in place with no holder needed. The pedestal base pairs polyurethane gel with suction for maximum surface bond, while the 3-inch arm adjusts vertically and rotates 360 degrees so you can set the viewing angle exactly where you want it. On soft vinyl, leather or similar dash materials, Arkon recommends fitting the supplied 3M adhesive disk first to avoid leaving permanent indentation marks. The sticky suction pad is seriously strong yet still lifts off cleanly and can be reused. Should the grip weaken over time, rinse the pad in warm water with a mild liquid soap, let it air dry, and the suction comes back.
