Pull the rubber insert from the side of the Mobile Grip 2 and you'll uncover an industry-standard 1/4"-20 threaded camera mounting pattern, so the cradle can go straight onto a camera tripod as well — a genuinely useful bit of extra versatility. The Travelmount Deluxe Mini Windshield or Dashboard Suction Car Mount uses a standard suction base moulded from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a material that copes well in hot conditions and especially well in the cold.
