The TABRM079 is the heavy-duty sticky suction windscreen and dash tablet mount from Arkon's Robust Mount Series, built for large tablets measuring 7" to 18.4" across the screen. That covers the Apple iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 and iPad Air, iPad 4, 3, and 2, Samsung Galaxy View, Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and 12.2, Galaxy Tab S 10.5, Google Pixel C, Nexus 10 and Nexus 9, plus the LG G Pad 10.1. In the box you get the heavy-duty sticky suction mounting pedestal together with the Slim-Grip Universal Tablet Holder, a combination suited to dashboards, windscreens and other flat or lightly textured surfaces. The Slim-Grip holder accepts tablets 7 to 18.4 inches in screen size and uses a spring-loaded action, so pressing down on the lower legs lets you drop the tablet in or lift it out one-handed. Ten support legs are supplied — 4 short, 2 medium and 4 long — and you simply pick the 4 that suit your device best. They slot into the top and bottom of the holder and slide across easily so side buttons and ports stay clear. With most large tablets, 2 short legs up top and the 2 long legs underneath works best; smaller tablets suit all 4 short legs, while bigger slates such as the iPad Pro are best served by all 4 long legs. Switch to a vertical view using the 360-degree swivel. The sturdy, low-vibration pedestal stands roughly 6.5 inches tall measured from the base of the mount to the top of the pedestal, holder excluded. Its 80mm sticky suction base combines a strong polyurethane gel with suction pressure for maximum surface bond and reliable grip in any climate. On soft vinyl, leather or similar dash materials, Arkon suggests fitting the included 3M adhesive dash mounting disk to avoid leaving permanent indentation marks.
